The COVID-19 pandemic has deeply affected the lives and ministries of cross-cultural workers. Many workers have returned to their passport countries temporarily, indefinitely, or permanently. In this episode, Shonna Ingram helps us understand some of what cross-cultural workers are experiencing during COVID-19. Shonna suggests ways that Christ-followers can help workers who have returned "home" and are facing significant and unexpected upheaval.What do you think of this episode?
Shonna Ingram is a Career Guidance Advisor for Pioneer Bible Translators and Wycliffe Bible Translators. She is also a Master Facilitator with the Trauma Healing Institute. Since 2013 Shonna has served hundreds of global workers through their life transitions, whether going to the field, changing assignments, or returning home. Shonna was an essential part of creating and implementing Pioneer Bible Translators’ “Roots of Care” training program. Shonna and her husband, along with their four children, also served in Tanzania, East Africa as part of a team that translated the New Testament into 15 languages.
