Rev. Doug Christgau, with his wife Christine, has served as outreach pastor in three churches since 1985, most recently at Valley Community Baptist Church of Avon, CT. During his tenure these three churches have sent 40 long-term missionaries while 2000+ people made commitments as missionary prayer partners. Doug has personally led over 100 short-term mission trips in several U.S. cities and 45 countries. Doug currently serves as Global Ambassador for MedSend, an organization that pays the educational loans of health care professionals who want to serve God in long-term missions both in U.S. cities and around the world. Doug is an avid road cyclist who has toured 30 U.S. states and rode from San Francisco to NYC in a month. Doug and Christine have 2 children and 11 grandchildren.
